In May 2025, I announced that a re-elected Albanese Labor Government will deliver $2.22 million for additional CCTV cameras and lighting across Parramatta and Cumberland Councils because everyone deserves to feel safe where they live.

This commitment will strengthen community safety across Parramatta, Pendle Hill, Toongabbie, Wentworthville and Westmead South deterring criminal activity and giving law enforcement the real time surveillance and evidence they need.

I'll be working closely with Parramatta and Cumberland Councils to make sure the cameras are placed where they'll make the biggest difference for our community.

APRIL 2026

Great progress on our $2.22 million commitment for new CCTV cameras and lighting across Parramatta.

We're now working closely with Council on the design phase, determining the best locations across our neighbourhoods to make the biggest difference for community safety.

We're on track to have this delivered before the end of the year.

AUGUST 2026

I'm proud to see this commitment already turning into action. Working with Parramatta and Cumberland Councils, we'll determine the best locations to make our streets safer and better lit for everyone in our community.

Every resident deserves to feel safe walking their streets. This investment is a step toward making that a reality.
